My Plant

This page is horrifically out of date, but it's back by popular demand (god knows why!). You will all be pleased to know that the plant is doing very well, it's huge now. As soon as I can be bothered, I'll take another photo for you all

Due to the abuse I put my plant though, I think it deserves it's own little page. This page will contain an activity log about my plant. So, if you want to know about it, here is the place to find out!!

I've just made sure the soil is wet, and moved the plant from ontop of the TV, to the window, where it can spend a day in the sun. I think that it's looking a little better then it was when I found it 3 days ago. It's green, which is a start, and it looks like it's growing new leaves. I'll check later to see if it seemed to enjoy it's day in the sun. I'll keep you informed!

I'm home from work, cleaning my room a bit more, and stuff. I'm sure you will all be pleased to know, that the plant is looking slightly better now. I think a day back on the windowsill probably did it some good. I hope it didn't bring the poor thing bad memories of it's days without water. It doesn't look all that upset. If things carry on this well, I think this section of the website won't need upseting so much.

Just got up, and about to leave for uni to do some work, just thought I would let you know that the plant looks like it is going to make it! The leaves that had curled up, are uncurling. Just need to give it a few more days I think, and it will be back into it's origional happy state

Look what has been said to me! I'm off out today to get a new pot.

RaptureS: nice page Pookey ....
RaptureS: and you should repot your plant :)
RaptureS: it will do much better :)
pookey: RaptureS, you think I should?
RaptureS: yes....the plant has outgrown its container
RaptureS: it needs a bigger home
RaptureS: with more light
RaptureS: just thought i would add that the pot that you get for it should be at least 2 sizes bigger than what it is now ...some would say only 1 but if you give it enough room it will grow well....but it needs lotsa light and some fertilzer wouldn't hurt it right now :)

The plant will be named soon, I think I should put it to vote, if you have any ideas as to what I might want to call it, e-mail me.

Just repotted the plant. It's looking a lot happier in it's new home. I've even fed it some baby bio. I only used garden mud as I couldn't be bothered to get any from the shops.

Plants coming along quite well, but again, I have have some advice, someone was reading my page, and said this.

Mackay: pookey, been reading your pot plant log
Mackay: you're nuts using garden soil on that thing
Mackay: you could be transplanting all sorts of shit with it
QuInNy: wtf
* QuInNy is confused
pookey: shit
pookey: ok. ok...
pookey: I'lll change it
Mackay: i dunno for sure because i don't know what the soil in your garden's like
Mackay: Mackay: anyway, shower
* Mackay is away, since 3:08:23 pm
pookey: woop.. ok, I've aranged a lift... I'm off out to get some mud!

Here it is, the new look plant, new pot, new soil. Many thanks to all those who supported the plant. I think it's going to be ok now. The plant to the left of mine in this pic, is a plant Rob brought back from the university while very drunk. Odd.

This update was made by request from simple, who wanted to see what my plant looked like while sleeping. Using the latest technology of night vision, and cutting edge image enhancement tools, I bring you this picture.

John, my housemate, suggested yesterday that I spray the leave of the plant with water. So, being the wonderful, caring person I am, I did, I have sprayed the leaves. Not only that, but I also put the plant on the outside of the window, and as you can see below, it's now the happiest plant in the world.

It's odd, I still sometimes get emails about the plant, people asking is it's still alive and how it's doing… so, for those that care, here he is!

:personal:plant200609.jpg

As you can see, he's grown a lot - still doesn't have a name though. My cats did try to snuggle in the soil when they were tiny kittens, so I had to build a fence around the base of the plant with Bic Biros. Occasionally a leaf falls off, but mostly the plant is in good health!

My KePlant

When I worked at KeConnect I brought a plant for my desk. When I left, I gave it to Ben to look after, and it looks like it's doing well!
