Nokia N95 on Three
I've done a bit of research, and the N95 is defiantly coming to Three. The time frame isn't set (or at least, isn't announced, and I've been unable to find one...), however it's likely to appear within the next few weeks or months.
UPDATE (31/05/2007): The manager at my local 3 store was told that the phone would be in by the end of this month. It's not actually going to happen, but it does give the impression it will be happening any time now. Perhaps within the next few weeks. Someone discussing this on 3g.co.uk suggests that Three don't want to release another buggy handset, and are holding back on releasing this phone for a while.
UPDATE (01/06/2007): Another place worth watching might be here http://www.x-series.org/2007/05/08/nokia-n95-is-coming-to-three/trackback/
- apparently the first week of june is looking likely!
UPDATE (12/06/2007): Three called me today, and explained it would be a while, they are still testing. They could unfortunately give me no idea as to how long it would be, but it is coming (apparently).

It seems strange that they are so slow to the UK market with this phone, given you can buy the N95 at almost another other 3 group around the world ( Aus, Italy etc ) x-series enabled already.
Once again UK market gets screwed over, it’s like living in some strange 3 month behind universe

I called the ‘3 upgrade’ team today, they told me that N95 was having software problems, the main one being the battery lasting roughly 30 mins when using certain functions (i’m guessing the ’sat nav’). They offered me a refurbished Nokia N93 for £40 on a 25/month 12 month contract, free if I signed up for 18 months.
This sounded tempting till I read up on the N93 and the original N93 is panned, and been replaced by the N93i.

My contract with three runs out in a month so I hope they get there act together and get the thing out or I’m gonna have to look elsewhere…
The video on it is awesome, its that which’s the selling point for me and the GPS (but i cant drive so not too important)
If the GPS is killing the battery then just why not supply it with a car adapter charger like vodaphone, as thats usually were its going to be used anyway?…

3 Mobile are well behind on the launch of this extremely popular handset.
Rumours are flying everywhere of an early August launch date but still unconfirmed.
Its a real shame as it is by far the best selling Nokia phone for the last two months but to have it available on Three would mean more minutes and text for your money.
Waiting with baited breath.

I have had the N70, then on to the N80 which i have now and have thought that each succesive phone better than the last, but i refuse point blank to stay with three if i cant have the N95. I understand there have been problems with the N series but come on guys-software updates worked fine for the previous models so why not now? And what do i upgrade to when every other phone ive looked at seems like a down grade………….?

My existing Three contract expires in September, and I told the 3 customer service rep who called that I’d only consider an N95 as an upgrade to my N80. I was told that the N95 would be available “in August”.

Been waiting for the N95 myself for a while now but I’ve also been working for 3 and to be honest the average customer is not as technologically savvy as you lot and will immediately blame the network when their phone kaks up. You wouldn’t believe how many people stop paying their bill when they break their phone never mind when their handset develops a fault because the manufacturer couldn’t be bothered to beta test properly (hands up Nokia for the N80, N73, N70 etc ad nauseum) so I believe 3 have got it right for once, just ask anyone whos had a branded N95 on O2 or T-Mobile (don’t know anyone who works for Orange or Vodaphone but I imagine the story would be the same given Orange’s habit of disabling the features you wanted the phone for in the first place).
Late July, early August is the most accurate release date you will get presuming the handset passes the current quality tests.

Like most of you i have been waiting for this phone to appear on 3 for ages now. I nearly made a jump to another network to get it but after going into my local 3 store i was told that the phone is due for release in october. He said he had had confirmation from headoffice that the phone would be out in october however there was no available price plan for it and he didnt know if there would be a charge for the phone. It didnt appear as if he was lying or anything (not like the you know whats in phones 4 u who told me it would never come out on 3 and the N95 was a crap phone that just broke all the time…inface he told me that every phone that thet had sold had come back then tried to get me to buy A samsung u600 (which in a few weeks will be defunct)

I was waiting for the n95 to come on the 3 network for 3 months and got pissed off. I called today to cancel (after a few attempts at haggling for a cheaper contract with n73/e65), and was surprisingly told that n95 was available. The offer made was n95 for £70 18m contract on Direct Talker 1000 or £120 12m contract (forgot the line rental).
Eventually haggled my way through to a flexi plan £70 for n95.
So my wait paid off.
I WILL HAVE THE N95 ON THE 3 NETWORK IN MY HAND ON aUGUST 7TH.

So, after all this time, how has the N95 faired on the 3 network? I know this is such a delayed post, but am considering a N95 with 3…espeically with all it’s online goodies and data package.
